On June 23, 2025, at 12:09 p.m. the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic in an apartment on Main Street in Stroudsburg Borough. The victim related that she stayed at her boyfriend, Marquis Allen McNeill's apartment and was awoken between 11-11:30 a.m. She related that Marquis went through her phone, woke her up and yelled at her to leave. He then proceeded to assault her by striking her in the face, which left bruises, scratches, and abrasions. The victim related that the assault then escalated to Marquis strangling her and she could not breathe, and then he took a pillow to cover her face and then threatened her with a pocketknife to her throat. The victim was able to leave after the assault, as Marquis went to play video games, and she walked out.
Charges were filed and a felony arrest warrant was issued for Marquis Allen McNeill.
