MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau announced the launch of its "Sports, Entertainment, and Film Commission" on Friday.
A release from the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau says the commission is in place to highlight the various qualities of the region to attract sports, entertainment, and film productions.
Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau CEO Chris Barrett noted the importance of the commission in a statement:

Polk Township's Board of Supervisors held a special meeting to vote solely on the Effort Solar Conditional Use Application.
