Short Term Rental Information
In January 2023, Jackson Township updated its short-term rental rules and excluded the Residential and Industrial zoning areas from being eligible for new STR licenses. Short-term rentals are allowed in the Recreation/Commercial District, Commercial District Conservation District and Village Districts of Jackson Township. No new STR licenses are being issued in residential districts, those with existing STR licenses AND a Certificate of Non-Conformance will be “grandfathered in.” Details on Jackson Township’s new STR rules are readily available from the township.

Single Bituminous Seal Coat All materials must meet PennDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders need to be PennDOT prequalified and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals should be marked “2024 Seal Coat Bid Proposal”.

On Jan 16, 2024, a month after Stroudsburg High School was evacuated due to a fire in the Boys’ Bathroom, firetrucks were dispersed again to SHS.
According to the Stroudsburg Fire Department’s Facebook page, SHS had a contained fire within a heating unit on the second floor of the building. On the scene were both Stroud Township and East Stroudsburg Fire Departments.
The fire department was notified due to the automatic fire alarm in the building. Upon entering the building, smoke led the fire officials to the second floor.
