ARRESTDetails MapOn June 28th, 2025, at approximately 12:45am, an officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was flagged down by a concerned motorist. The concerned motorist stated that they saw a vehicle travel off of the roadway and nearly strike a utility pole before driving off. The officer began patrolling the area and located a vehicle matching the description provided by the concerned motorist. As the officer began following the vehicle, several moving violations were observed, and a traffic stop was initiated.
The officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle, Brian Batres, a 30-year-old male from the Tobyhanna area. After a thorough investigation, Batres was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
Charges have been filed on Batres in relation to this incident.
