Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver Gonzalo Cortez, a 50-year-old male from Henryville. During the course of the investigation signs of impairment were observed. Cortez was transported to the Monroe County DUI Center where he consented to a blood withdrawal. Cortez has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol highest rate, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol general impairment, Driving while suspended DUI related, and Careless Driving.
