On March 7, 2025, at 12:23 p.m. the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Flower Field Motel for a burglary in progress. The caller was reporting that an unknown male was trying to shoulder the door to make entry into the room. Upon arrival police attempted to make contact with the caller, who did not answer return calls from 9-1-1. Prior to police making emergency entry to the room the caller answered the door. The caller was identified at Scott Thomas Gill. While police were clearing the room, drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view. Gill was not cooperative with police and denied calling 9-1-1. While speaking with Gill it was noticed that there was a smell of an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Gill's facial area, along with Gill having glassy eyes and pinpoint pupils. Gill admitted to drinking beer and smoking marijuana. Gill was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest found more paraphernalia was located along with dispensary packaged marijuana not prescribed to Gill. Gill was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing and released.
Charges were filed and an arrest warrant for Scott Thomas Gill was issued for summons undeliverable.
