On 9/24/2023 at 4:19 p.m. Stroud Area Regional Police was dispatched to the Walmart in East Stroudsburg for a report of a disorderly male who destroyed property and assaulted an employee. Prior to police arrival the male fled Walmart thru the Arby's parking lot. The victim related that a male, Gary Gorski attempted to return a wireless speaker box which did not contain the listed merchandise. The victim informed Gary that because the item was not in the box as listed on the box the return was denied. Gary then started yelling and left the service desk area. He went to the electronic department and picked up a new speaker and proceeded to the hardware department where he forcefully removed the security device on the speaker damaging it. Approximate cost of the security device is $165. He then proceeded back to the electronic department to pay for the item. The victim then stopped Gary as he was attempting to exit the store. A verbal argument ensued between the victim and Gary. Gary then became violent and struck the victim in the face and pulled her hair. Gary then exited the store and while attempting to leave in his vehicle- a white Kia Soul with NJ registration struck a handicap pole that was in his parking slot several times. A security officer was standing in the front of Gary's vehicle near the pole and narrowly missed being hit by jumping out of the way. Charges were filed and warrant issued for Gary Gorski's arrest.
