On April 26, 2025, at approximately 0939 hours, a Pocono Township Police Officer was on patrol in the area of Laurel Lake Road and Cherry Lane Road. The officer observed a vehicle with an expired 2024 PA inspection sticker, the Officer conducted a U-turn and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. The officer located the vehicle pulled into a driveway and conducted a traffic stop. Contact was made with Nala Moyer and the odor of marijuana was detected. Moyer did not know the residents of the driveway she pulled into, nor did the homeowners know who she was. Moyer was unable to produce a medical marijuana card and denied consent to search the vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently towed, and a search warrant was executed. During the search, police located loose marijuana throughout the vehicle and drug-associated paraphernalia. As a result, charges for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia were filed against Moyer.
