How the PTN, 28/22 News NASCAR came to beHe spoke on sports in general and how it's actually more impactful and crucial for our nation at this time than we think.
"I think we can all agree, no matter what our political walk of life is, is. We got a lot of divisions in our society. We got a lot of divisions in our country, we got a lot of divisions in the world, and I think sports is one of those unique things that actually still brings people together and allows folks to speak a common language. You're going to see people in the grandstands today who voted for different people in different elections. But they're here, maybe supporting the same driver, and they're definitely here supporting NASCAR, and they're here supporting Pocono. And that's, I think, a unique language that we all speak through sports, and I think our world needs more of that," Governor Shapiro stated.
Shapiro said his favorite driver is Ryan Blaney, as he has been super friendly with his family, so Governor Shapiro is hoping he gets a repeat win at Pocono.
