STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Police in Monroe County are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole two cash boxes from a gas station.

On Sunday around 5:30 a.m., officers say a man entered the Sunoco gas station at 1550 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, and asked the clerk to open the outside bathrooms for him.

According to the release, the man fled the store and was last seen running away on North 9th Street.
