NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Coolbaugh Township Board of Supervisors until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Coolbaugh Township Municipal Center, 5520 Municipal Drive, Tobyhanna, PA 18466, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the following work: Base Bid and Additional Bid Items 1,362 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Scratch/Leveling Course, placed 60 LB/SY 4,087 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY 1,144 Tons of 2A Crushed Aggregate Subbase, placed as Shoulder Back-up 19,054 Lineal Feet of Double Yellow Center Lines with Glass Beads 6,806 Lineal Feet of Single White Edgel Lines with Glass Beads All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408*Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified for Work Class F Bituminous Paving. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information may be obtained by contacting the Coolbaugh Township Secretary by phone at 570-894-8490, x3, or by email at emasker@coolbaughtwp.org. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Coolbaugh Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The bids will be presented to the Coolbaugh Township Board of Supervisors at the scheduled regular meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at approximately 6:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at which time they will be considered, and the contract may be awarded. The Coolbaugh Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages apply to this contract. All work must be completed by September 30, 2024; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $975 per day for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete.
