(WBRE/WYOU)— Race fans worldwide are gathering in Monroe County for this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series at Pocono Raceway.
28/22's Alaina Losito has been at the track all day.
The Craftsman Truck Series race here at Pocono Raceway is currently underway.
A pretty big crowd here on Friday and all eyes are on last year's winner Corey Heim.
He absolutely dominated the race leading most of the laps.
His most recent win came in Charlotte where he became the youngest driver ever to reach 15 career Truck Series wins.
He seems to excel at this race as he came second to Kyle Busch in 2023.
Busch has the most wins here with three and his team with eight.
Heim spoke on being back in the Poconos why he loves racing at this track.
"I think anytime you run good at a place, you look forward to going back and trying to improve on it if necessary, you know last year there wasn't a whole lot to improve on, but we're not trying to stay stagnant or withhold that speed a to uphold it in 2025," explained Heim.
"This is such a unique place of its own, and they call it the Trick Triangle for a reason so we'll do a lot of studying going into this one and very very different form your average old four intermediate racetrack, so for a driver like myself that's competitive, I enjoy these unique challenges and looked forward to it coming into the week," expressed Heim.
