On April 14th, 2025, officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to First National Bank in Tannersville for reported fraudulent activity. Through the investigation, officers were able confirm that fraudulent activity had occurred, and were able to identify Lisa M Murillo, a 42-year-old female from New York, New York as the person responsible.

On June 11th, 2025, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Murillo related to this case. She has been charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3), Theft by Deception (F3), and Receiving Stolen Property (F3).
