Borough of Stroudsburg Tax Ordinance Public Hearing

Notice Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Stroudsburg intends to enact a tax ordinance at the regular meeting of the council on January 7th, 2025. The tax will be levied on producers of amusements, levying assessments and collecting taxes imposed upon any facility which charges an admission within the Borough of Stroudsburg. The tax will support general government administration and is expected to raise $40,000.

The East Stroudsburg Borough Council has proposed a staggering 29% property tax increase for 2025, sparking outrage and concern among residents. This comes on the heels of a 15% tax hike in 2024, totaling nearly a 50% increase in property taxes over two years.
