Short Term Rental Information
The Borough of East Stroudsburg enacted a short term rental ordinance in 2021. The ordinance requires licensing and a list of requirements including the use of a private trash hauler. Zoning regulations limit the licenses to Commercial and Industrial areas, properties in residential areas will need a variance. Details can be found in the East Stroudsburg STR Ordinance. The Borough of East Stroudsburg performs curbside pickup of Christmas trees. Trees should be placed at curbside before 7:00 a.m. of collection day. Trees must have all lights, stands, and ALL decorations (including tinsel and garland) removed before picked up. Trees picked up will be chipped up and turned into mulch at the Twin Boroughs Recycling Center.

Trees should be placed at curbside before 7:00 a.m. of collection day. Trees must have all decorations, including tinsel and garland, lights and stands removed in order to be picked up.

With the prospect of winter weather on the horizon, East Stroudsburg Borough would like to take this opportunity to remind all East Stroudsburg Borough residents that Section 132-1 of the East Stroudsburg Code requires sidewalks to be cleared of snow and/or ice accumulation within 24 hours of the end of the weather event.

As part of its water quality MS4 permit, the Borough is asking for your help to report unauthorized discharges to the streams, roads and storm sewers. The Borough is required to reduce sediment to Reservoir Run. Call the Borough office at 570-421-8300. Pamphlets, Annual Reports, and copies of the permit documents are also available at the Borough Office.
The Borough of East Stroudsburg has announced the tentative paving schedule for 2019 through 2030. Having this information available to the utility companies allows utility work to be scheduled accordingly so newly paved roads do not have to be torn up and worked on.

The Borough of East Stroudsburg is holding a Public Information meeting on September 26, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. to receive public input on the proposed Crystal Street Streetscape Project.
Phase one of this Project will make Crystal Street one-way from Analomink Street to Washington Street, Add sidewalk width to both sides of Crystal Street from Analomink Street to Washington Street, add a raised Pedestrian Crosswalk where the current Crosswalk is in front of Trackside and add additional decorative street lighting.
