The Borough of East Stroudsburg enacted a short term rental ordinance in 2021. The ordinance requires licensing and a list of requirements including the use of a private trash hauler. Zoning regulations limit the licenses to Commercial and Industrial areas, properties in residential areas will need a variance. Details can be found in the East Stroudsburg STR Ordinance. Many taxpayers were under the impression that state funding would offset school property taxes. It seems we've all been hoodwinked. We send our legislators to Harrisburg to work on our behalf, and now we're told that we're being misled. State funding MUST be linked to reducing school property taxes, or we should be allowed to stop paying school property taxes until it happens.

Why did you decide to become a strength coach?
I played sports my entire life and I knew when choosing a career that I wanted to choose something that allowed me to stay close to sports.
Why did you chose to work for Stroudsburg?
Stroudsburg High school was assigned to me by St. Luke’s, but I’m glad they put me here. I have been enjoying my time so far.
Two groups of students from East Stroudsburg University’s sport management program recently took their skills to the national stage, competing in a pair of competitions that tested their talent and showcased their potential.
MARSHALLS CREEK, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pocono Chamber of Commerce presented Monroe County Habitat for Humanity with a chunk of change on Wednesday.
Last fall, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity helped out at Pickle Me Poconos, a festival held in East Stroudsburg.
On Wednesday, the chamber paid it forward by presenting a check to Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $2,400, a percentage of the money raised at Pickle Me Poconos.

In Monroe County, one of the highlights is an annual art contest for high school students.
The contest was held at the East Stroudsburg University's Fine Arts Building.
This year's theme was "dreams are what we hold onto when hope seems bleak but hasn't faded."
The artwork shows the theme or any aspect of Dr. King's life and his philosophy.
STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The doors of a historic church in Monroe County are now open for the first time in decades with a few upgrades.
The Stroudsburg Little Bethel Historical Association held its grand opening on Saturday at Little Bethel on North Third Street in Stroudsburg.
There the newly restored Stroudsburg Little Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church was unveiled.
The AME church is now a museum and even features a lending library full of books both by and about African Americans.
