Short Term Rental Information
Tobyhanna Township approved a short-term rental ordinance in 2022. A revision to the ordinance was adopted in February of 2024 that changed the occupancy limit to 2 per bedroom + 2 and reduced fines for violations to be within state guidelines. Tobyhanna Township recently imposed a cap on the number of short term rentals licenses and due to the uncertainties surrounding license issuance, caution is advised when purchasing in Tobyhanna Township. Coolbaugh Township Leaf Collection begins today (April 21st). The schedule for pickup is as follows: April 21st-25th collection will take place in Pocono Farms and Pocono Summit; April 28th-May 2nd collection will be in Pocono Farms East, Tobyhanna Village and surrounding areas as well as pickup at one location specified by the Community Associations in Private developments. Leaves must be raked to the road's edge (NO Bags or rigid containers).
