Presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. ARRESTDetails MapOn July 19th, 2025 at approximately 11:15am. Officers of The Pocono Township Police Department were called to the area of Alger avenue and Weis Market in Tannersville for a report of a male assaulting a female with a knife. The male fled the scene and was later apprehended in the area of Alger avenue and Municipal Lane. After an investigation it was determined that Jacob Lesoine, a 22 year old male from Monroe County, had threatened to kill the mother of his child while holding a knife, thrown her to the ground, and fought with her as she tried to flee. Lesoine was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and heroin.
Lesoine was arraigned by The Honorable Judge Riley and bail was set at $40,000 secured. The Pocono Township Police Department would like to thank The Pennsylvania State Police Stroudsburg barracks for their assistance.
