How long have you been at SASD? 28 years! What is your favorite part of being in the Stroudsburg district? So many things! Students, Staff and the relationships I have built. I’m lucky to be able to teach in the district I grew up in and to raise my family as Mountaineers is definitely a big bonus.  If you had gone into another profession, what would it be and why? I think I would have ended up doing something in the areas of Psychology or Sociology. I am a helper by nature. What is one piece of advice you would share with your students? Don’t be so quick to grow up. Make lasting friendships. Be kind. If you could have one superpower what would it be and why? To be able to travel through time.  Who do you look up to? From November 7 to November 9, 2024, Stroudsburg Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) took a seven hour drive to Columbus, Ohio, where they attended the National Fall Leadership Conference (NFLC). The group included seniors, Jessica Haggerty, Gabriella Parker, Alishbeth Guepet, William Awuah, Jaden Harper, Alexis Binikos, and Rebecca Dishong, accompanied by Mrs. Jodie Haggerty and Mrs. Maureen Verway. The group spent Thursday exploring the various dining options around the conference center located in Hyatt Hotel. On Thursday, they dined at Brothers where they enjoyed a classic American dinner and enjoyed ice cream from Jeni’s. Friday morning, they attended the opening ceremony, where the National Officer team was introduced. Following introduction, the Conference had a “Parade of States,” where our FBLA chapter discovered they were one of two chapters in attendance from Pennsylvania.
