The ACPprovides eligible households a discount of up to $30 per month off of their internet bills, as wellas a one-time discount of up to $100 off of an eligible connected device such as a laptop,desktop computer, or tablet.

CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race moves to Friday evening to kick off the three-day weekend featuring all three of NASCAR’s National Series. 2024 renewal and pre-sale campaigns already underway for the NASCAR weekend. LONG POND, Pa. (October 4, 2023) – Pocono Raceway, coming off a record-setting NASCAR event this season, will have its annual race weekend remain in July for the 2024 season but with a slight shift in the dates. “The Tricky Triangle” will play host once again to all three of NASCAR’s National Series – the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series – on July 12-14, 2024, one weekend earlier than this past season.

Pocono Arts Council is excited to announce the return of their Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-off! The cheesy fundraiser takes place at the Renegade Winery on Sunday, November 5, 2023, following the Veteran’s Day Parade in downtown Stroudsburg. A tradition since 2013, the Annual Mac & Cheese Bake-off features professional and amateur chefs and competing for the cheesiest of titles – and an incredible award! Attendees get to taste test each of the contestants’ dishes and vote for their favorite. Live music by Zac Lawless, local wine, and a 50/50 raffle are all part of the event! The votes are tallied and the chef who creates the heARTiest Mac & Cheese in the Poconos is ‘coronated’ with the coveted macaroni crown!

MCTI students work hard all year, balancing their core classes and the projects they work on at the institute. Bryannah Zimmerman, 12, a cosmetology student, is already steps ahead of her peers by utilizing the dual enrollment and Co-Op option offered at the high school. , the National Technical Honor Society, and by earning her cosmetology license. Zimmerman has been completing her dual enrollment with East Stroudsburg University. After completing her application to their July program, she was accepted into the college and received their Merritt Scholarship. She’s planning to major in Secondary Education/English and ESU’s program offers her many benefits, including being able to be close to her home and family. Along with her schoolwork, Zimmerman is working at The Bob Salon located on West Main Street. The salon is run by Katherine Spiegel, Stephanie Walker, and Kelly Schouppe.
