Grand opening of a new interactive birding trail at our Long Pond Preserve

For National Trails Day next Saturday (June 7), TNC is hosting the grand opening of a new interactive birding trail at our Long Pond Preserve. The features that make this trail unique are (1) its community science integration and (2) its interactive audio tour. The Poconos are home to Pennsylvania’s highest concentration of rare species.

Upset Tax Sale

All properties that have failed to receive a bid at the fall Upset Tax Sale will be exposed again at public auction at the Judicial Tax Sale. This sale is held in the spring of each year. The minimum starting bid is bureau costs. Stroudfest 2025

FREE COMMUNITY  EVENT – The Sherman Theater presents the annual Labor Day Festival on Saturday, August 30 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM! Craft, retail, food and beverage vendors will line the sidewalks on Main Street from 5th to 9th Street, featuring a food court in Courthouse Square, complementing dozens of eclectic shops and restaurants downtown. There will be live music at multiple stages throughout the day, and lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy!
