The next CJERP meeting is scheduled for April 25, 2024 7pm.
CJERP stands for Chestnuthill/Jackson/Eldred/Ross/Polk Townships. Representatives of our Townships are scheduled to meet once a month to discuss regional ideas and concerns. These meetings are open to the public and held at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building 271 rt715 Brodheadsville. The agenda for this meeting is attached.

PUBLIC NOTICE
At long last, Marshalls Falls Park is open. We are overjoyed with the response the opening garnered. It took the better part of two decades to finally see this park come to fruition. Smithfield Township owes a debt of gratitude to many folks.
The Wawa at 1781 Route 209 got the calls around 10:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, troopers said.
The store was temporarily closed and employees were evacuated while police "conducted a walk-through and assessed the building," according to the release.
Nothing suspicious was found and the store reopened, police said.
The matter remains under investigation by PSP's Fern Ridge station.

Join the Coolbaugh Township Environmental Advisory Council and the Pocono Mountain Public Library for a Story Walk at the Wiley Preserve located at 549 Laurel Drive, Tobyhanna. The Story Walk is being held on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 1-3pm. The featured book is Fletcher and the Springtime Blossoms by Julia Rawlinson. This is a Free event that is open to the public. Come on out and experience a great day of reading along the trail.
Rain or shine, the race begins at 9:00 AM with check in and walk-in registration at 8:00 AM.
Proceeds benefit Special Recreation Services, Inc., a non-profit organization assisting with recreation, socialization and habilitation programs for adults who are intellectually disabled, autistic, and/or mentally ill in Northeastern PA.
