On January 14, 2025, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) quietly approved a stormwater permit for Core 5’s proposed warehouse on Warner Road in Pocono Township. However, the public was not informed of this decision until February 1, raising concerns that the delay may have been intentional to limit the time available for an appeal.

Short-term rentals or Transient Dwelling Units as they are referred to as in Pocono Township are not allowed in R-1 and R-2 zoning areas in Pocono Township. Short term rentals are only allowed in C (Commercial) zones and RD (Recreational District) zones. 28/22 News was there Monday morning as crews started removing the sign at the intersection of Routes 715 and 611 in Tannersville.
This is all to widen the road.
The plan is expected to ease congestion in the area by cutting 40 feet through the mountain behind it.

The Pocono Township Welcome Sign has stood tall for more than 40 years, but after the weekend, the historical landmark will no longer exist.
The sign in Tannersville is hard to miss, but soon it will be very missed.
The cherished landmark located at Routes 715 and 611 will be permanently removed on Monday.

They took to the slopes of Camelback Mountain Saturday to support the national non-profit Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) at an annual event at Camelback Resort.
The foundation stresses prevention through living a healthy active lifestyle, encouraging testing for early detection, and providing support to survivors.
One of those survivors became a volunteer with the organization before she was ever diagnosed with breast cancer.
