The borough of Stroudsburg has implemented a new Short-term Rental Ordinance and refined zoning regulations to prohibit short term rentals in residential districts (R-1, R-2 and R-3) and allow it in all other zoning districts. A license and annual inspection is required, more details under Housing section on borough's website. See rules and regulations and permit application below.

The tax will be levied on producers of amusements, levying assessments and collecting taxes imposed upon any facility which charges an admission within the Borough of Stroudsburg. The tax will support general government administration and is expected to raise $40,000. Copy of the proposed ordinance is on file at the Borough office and may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 and 4:00.
