Stroudsburg snowmen displays help local artists

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Life-sized snowmen have taken over downtown Stroudsburg in the cold months but don’t be alarmed it’s all to help local artists and businesses. Whether it’s the daytime or night there’s always a pop of color scattered throughout the Stroudsburg borough all thanks to the snowmen of Stroudsburg. The community event, now in its seventh year, put on by ‘Go Collaborative’ brings together local businesses and artists like Emily Brier to host and design themed, life-size snowmen. “My snowman is Heatmeiser and Snowmeiser from, ‘The Year Without a Santa Claus,’ it’s one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time.” This isn’t Brier’s first snowman as she also created the ‘feeling groovy’ themed one on Main Street last year, but she says you have to be smart with your creativity due to them being scattered around the borough in the elements.
