SHS Cheer plans to “bring it” to EPCs
The Stroudsburg High School Cheerleading team competed at Moravian College on Nov. 24. Although the team wasn’t registered to compete for placement, they opted to participate to gain valuable feedback from judges. Why go through the motions of competing without the possibility of recognition?
The experience allows them to tweak their routine before the upcoming EPC competition set for December 12. With no intention of winning (this time), the SHS Cheer team plans to bring fierce competition to the EPCs. That enthusiasm earns them the “Spirit Award.”

Break open your wallets if you want to see Jim Carrey’s version of The Grinch
Jim Carrey’s masterful interpretation of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)”, was recently removed from free streaming services. Despite the movie’s ongoing popularity two decades later, fans will not be able to freely stream it on their favorite platforms.
The animated version, “The Grinch (2018)”, and the classic animation from 1966 are streamable; however, Jim Carrey’s version must be rented or purchased to enjoy it. It can be found on platforms such as Amazon Prime, YouTube, Hulu, and Vudu.
Last year, Peacock streamed the movie from December 20 through December 31, but no announcement has been released this year. For more information, go to Insidethemagic.net.
Luckily, the DE&I Club is hosting a viewing of The Grinch on December 18 at SHS in F105 right after school. Free entry with snacks and drinks available.
