28/22 NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Interstate 84 and Interstate 380 North have reopened with restrictions in several counties that have been put in place for others due to Friday's storm. According to PennDOT, I-84 was closed starting at the 380 splits in Lackawanna County, to Exit 34 (Lords Valley/Dingmans Ferry) in Pike County. Traffic backed up on Interstate 81 leading to Interstate 84 and 380 which have been closed due to Friday's winter storm. PennDOT had shut down I-380 northbound between Exit 20 (Daleville/Moscow) and the I-84 split in Roaring Brook Township.

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In this season of giving, a local non-profit is making sure everyone has a gift under the tree. Monroe County Meals on Wheels kicked off its Annual Holiday Gift Drive on Thursday in Stroudsburg. Crews taking care of road conditions in Monroe County The non-profit is collecting presents to give to those they help in the community. "It just really means a lot to them. We've had clients tell us that for some it's the only gift they received, that they have to unwrap. And for others, even if they have other gifts, it just means so much, them to know that the community is thinking about them during the holidays," said Special Events Coordinator Stacey Koeck. Santa helped collect donations like blankets, night lights, and robes.

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — 28/22 News caught up with DPW crews preparing for the storm in Monroe County on Thursday. The Stroudsburg Borough Public Works Crew is ready to hit the streets. They spent the day making sure their equipment was ready for a long night. How much snow will Pennsylvania see Friday? "We're getting ready here you know just getting our spreaders on making sure everything is working. Getting the plows on just in case we have to scrape. Again we're not really sure what we're getting into, but whatever it is we'll be ready here in Stroudsburg," said Stroudsburg Borough Public Works Director Brian Ace. Since the snow is preceded by rain, crews were not able to treat the roads with brine first, so roads may become snow-covered quickly.
