On Tuesday, Sept 24, signs of Stroudsburg High School’s 2025 musical appeared. A list of possible musicals and a list of questions that the music department considers when picking the musical are showcased on the bulletin board adjacent to the chorus room (C hallway). Anticipation grows as students feverishly check the board each morning for updates. The musical from the 2024 school year was “The Prom”, which was announced Sept 24, 2023, so students are expecting the announcement to come soon. “Sometimes the rights are harder to receive for some musicals than others. We wait until we have rights and the contract to the musical to announce it,” says Billye Kubiak.
