EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Amid a weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service, thousands of residents in Monroe County and beyond are without power. As of about 7:30 p.m., FirstEnergy Storm Center PA is reporting over 5,000 customers are experiencing power outages within our coverage area with over 2,000 customers without power from Monroe County. Meanwhile, PPL is reporting a total of over 17,500 of their customers in our coverage area are without power with almost 7,500 of that number being from Monroe County.
