Senate Concludes First Week of Budget Hearings The Senate Appropriations Committee began public hearings this week on the proposed 2025-26 state budget. Governor Shapiro’s $51.5 billion budget proposal represents a 7.5% increase in spending—$3.6 billion more than the current year—without a clear plan to address Pennsylvania’s structural deficit. While there are areas of shared interest, I am concerned that this proposal relies on overly optimistic revenue projections and unimplemented policies, while depleting our reserves and leaving the state vulnerable to future tax increases and service cuts.

The requirements for this scholarship are that the student must be a senior taking classes in person or virtually, seeking post secondary education at a trade school, community college, or a four-year program.The applicant must also be furthering their education in a curriculum within the construction industry. STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Voletta Wallace, mother famed rapper Christopher Wallace, also known as Notorious B.I.G. passed away while in hospice care in the Poconos Friday morning. Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac says the mother of late rapper Notorious B.I.G. has died in Stroudsburg. Drug raid at residence leads to woman’s arrest Yanac confirmed the death of 78-year-old Voletta Wallace. Wallace was the mother of Christopher George Latore Wallace, also known as The Notorious B.I.G.

If a spouse dies in a suspicious car accident after a person is murdered, the procedure involves immediate police notification, scene preservation, evidence collection, autopsy, a thorough investigation including a negative investigation to determine the cause of death and any potential criminal involvement. This investigation was never done, therefore; we demand our Mom’s highly suspicious car accident be investigated as a homicide as the police do nothing and will not investigate it because they are afraid of the people involved.

One of the most surprising trades of the postseason was Juan Soto being traded from the New York Yankees to the New York Mets, fifteen years making 765 million dollars.  “When the Mets first announced Soto as an option, I didn’t really want him because they were going to spend so much money. But, when he came to the Mets, I was thrilled and realized what a great decision Steve Cohen made by spending that much on him. He just wants to win which is great. I think they will have a great season!” says Paul Malachowsky,  math department teacher.
