East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery will present The East Stroudsburg University & County College of Morris Collaborative Faculty Exhibition from Wednesday, September 27 – Thursday, October 18. The exhibition features work from faculty members in the art & design department at CCM and the art + media + design department at ESU. It was co-curated by ESU’s Darlene Farris-LaBar, chair and professor of art + media + design and Madelon Powers Gallery Director, and CCM’s Brian Sahotsky, professor of visual arts and gallery director.
Hours for the gallery, located in the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, are Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Disabled veterans from our area got a chance to do some fly fishing today. It's something the nonprofit “Project Healing Waters” and the Stroudsburg Rotary have been doing for 7 years now... and as News 13's Ameenah Thompson tells us this year was no different.

Stacy Rodriguez says, "Stroudsburg's Rotary has prepared a barbecue slash picnic for the veterans the wounded veterans so we partnered up with project healing waters and they come out and they teach the veterans how to fly fish."

Three East Stroudsburg University Clear Path scholars and their professor attended the S-STEM Scholars Symposium in Washington, D.C. September 14-16. Clear Path, a $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSH), provides scholarships to students to support the timely completion of their STEM associate and subsequent STEM bachelor’s degrees through the implementation of an evidence-based, sustainable, transferrable program that maximizes student success. The grant is a partnership among ESU and Northampton Community College, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Luzerne Community College, and Community College of Morris.
