Byron to Start on Pole for Sunday’s HighPoint.com 400 NASCAR Cup Series Race
LONG POND, Pa. (July 22, 2023) – Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron collected his third pole of the season during Saturday’s qualifying for the HighPoint.com 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway.
Byron (No. 24 RaptorTough.com Chevrolet) earned the pole in the 10-driver final round of qualifying with a lap of 170.629 miles per hour (52.746 secs.) on the 2.5-mile trioval. It was his second pole in 10 races at Pocono Raceway – the other came in 2019 – and 11th of his career. Byron will lead the 36-car field to the green for Sunday’s HighPoint.com 400 beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET (TV: USA, Radio: MRN, SiriusXM).
Joining Byron on the front row is Cup Series points leader Martin Truex Jr. (No. 19 Interstate Batteries Toyota), whose lap of 170.235 mph (52.868) was .122 of a second shy of the pole-winning run.

LONG POND, Pa. (July 21, 2023) – JR Motorsports driver Josh Berry secured his first Xfinity Series pole of the season – and just his second in 81 career series races –
during Friday’s qualifying for the Explore the Pocono Mountains 225 at Pocono Raceway.
Berry (No. 8 Tire Pros Love the Drive Chevrolet) earned the pole in his third career appearance at “The Tricky Triangle” with a lap of 167.951 miles per hour (53.587 seconds) to edge Daniel Hemric (No. 11 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet / 167.128 mph/53.851 secs.) by 0.264 of a second on the 2.5-mile tri-oval.
Sheldon Creed (No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet) qualified third with a lap of 167.004 mph (53.891) and was followed by Connor Mosack (No. 19 IRWIN TRADE STRONG Toyota) at 166.982 mph. Rounding out the top five was series points leader John Hunter Nemechek (No. 20 Yahoo Toyota) with a lap of 166.834 mph (53.946).

LONG POND, Pa. (July 20, 2023) – A limited number of 200 Level grandstand seats, beginning as low as $80, are the only option remaining for attending Sunday’s HighPoint.com 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway.
The interest has been brisk for NASCAR’s lone visit to the “Tricky Triangle” that features all three National Series (Cup, Xfinity, CRAFTSMAN Truck) and the ARCA Menards Series.
Pocono Raceway has sold out the available seating in the 100 and 300 levels of the main grandstand along with all premium seating that includes suites, Terrace Club and Club Pocono.
The remaining option is limited but provides a great view in the 200 Level of the main grandstand. Pricing ranges from $80 to $100.The gates, Fan Fair and paddock open to the public at 8 a.m. for the HighPoint.com 400, which begins at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Fountain Court Fire Disaster Resources | Pocono Township
The Small Business Administration has established a Business Recovery Center (BRC) at the Pocono Township municipal building (112 Township Drive) to assist all businesses affected by the June 25, 2023 Fountain Court fire. Resources provided include low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) through the U.S. Small Business Administration. The BRC will function through Thursday, August 3 and will be open Monday-Friday (8 AM – 4 PM) and Saturday (10 AM to 2 PM). Please call 570-629-1922 for more information.
