Destruction of Confiscated Firearms The Monroe County Court of Common Pleas entered an Administrative Order on December 26, 2024, regarding the retention and pending destruction of confiscated firearms. Please see the complete Order and list of firearms on the Court's website at www.monroepacourts.us. Any party associated with a firearm seeking to retain same must contact Court Administration by email at jspencer@monroepacourts.us within thirty (30) days from the date of this publication.

DEP grants public hearing for Poconos warehouse proposal

A public hearing on the Route 115 Associates, LLC warehouse project has been scheduled for March 3. The DEP said it received several requests to host the hearing.

According to the DEP, the company wants to build an 800,000 square foot warehouse on Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township. The 98-acre property would be subdivided into six lots. It's mostly forested lands now, located south of Pocono Raceway. The address provided is 106 Joker Road.
