Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Paradise Township, Monroe County, PA, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Paradise Township building located at 5912 Paradise Valley Rd., Cresco, PA 18326. The purpose of the hearing is to consider testimony and evidence and receive public comment on the Conditional Use Application of Chestnut Grove Resort Realty, LLC, for the property located at 106 Carlton Rd. in Paradise Township, more specifically identified as Monroe County PIN No. 11637503229137.

Cassadi Newsome, 19, walked out of district court covering his face after waiving his preliminary hearing Tuesday morning.

He's accused of sexually assaulting three children at Inch by Inch Child Care on Route 940 in Pocono Summit.

Police say Newsome started working at the daycare in July of 2024 doing odd jobs but was was then hired to help with daily activities in his mother's classroom.

Edwin Abrahamsen Jr. is representing one of the families whose daughter was allegedly abused by Newsome.

Pocono Mountain school board to consider LERTA tax breaks in Pocono Twp.

PARADISE TWP., Pa. - On Wednesday night, the Pocono Mountain school board voted to participate in a public hearing with the township regarding a Local Economic Revitalization Tax Abatement (LERTA) ordinance.

At its last meeting in January, the board heard a request from the Pocono Mountain Economic Development Corp. and Pocono Township that the Pocono Mountain School District agree to participate in a public hearing on the LERTA ordinance, followed by the adoption of a resolution to participate.
