Stroudsburg boys’ baseball takes over Lehigh Valley Coca-Cola Park
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the Stroudsburg boys’ baseball team defeated the Pleasant Valley Bears by a score of 9-5 at Coca-Cola Park. This game marked two wins in a row for the Mounties and improved their season record to 3-2-1.
In the first inning, the Bears struck first, scoring two runs off pitcher Damian Budhai, ’27. In the third inning, both offenses ignited, with each team scoring two runs, bringing the score to 4-2 in favor of Pleasant Valley.
Despite being down, the Mounties rallied, scoring four massive runs in that inning, flipping the score to 6-4. This proved too much for the Bears to handle as the Mounties added three more runs in the sixth inning, extending their lead to 9-4. The Bears managed to score one more run in that inning, but it was too little, too late. The Mounties closed out the game in the final inning, securing a 9-5 victory.
The Mounties’ bats were on fire:
