Man shot in forehead during road rage incident, DA says

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Monroe County District Attorney has confirmed a man was shot in the head during a road rage incident on Interstate 380 on Tuesday morning. According to District Attorney Mike Mancuso, Tatiana Divina Peterson, 39, of Tobyhanna, pulled alongside another car and fired multiple shots while both cars were in motion, hitting the victim in the forehead with one of the shots.

Woman shoots man in face during road rage incident in Coolbaugh Twp., Pa. State Police say

Pennsylvania State Police are accusing a woman of shooting a man in the face during a road rage incident on I-380 in Monroe County Tuesday morning.The woman, 38, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terrorist threats, propel missile into occupied dwelling, recklessly endangering another person, and reckless driving, according to a news release from state police.Troopers were sent to Interstate 380 North in Coolbaugh Township shortly before 11:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from a male who said he was shot in the face during a road rage incident, state police said.The woman fled the scene but was taken into custody without incident, according to state police.Authorities took the woman to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, where she will be arraigned Wednesday morning. Police say they will release more information after the arraignment.

Details released on Interstate 380 shooting investigation

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) released details on an incident that shut down a portion of Interstate 380 on Tuesday. On Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m., troopers were called to Interstate 380 Northbound near mile marker eight after a reported shooting during a road rage incident. State police explained that the suspect, later identified as a 38-year-old woman, left the scene, and troopers were unable to find her during their initial response. Through multiple investigative methods, the suspect was found and taken into custody without incident, according to PSP.

Stroud Township, PA – June 10, 2025The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is considering issuing permits to PennDOT for a major portion of the I-80 expansion project through Stroud Township—clearing the way for construction activities that include filling wetlands, disturbing floodways, and relocating stormwater infrastructure.But environmental advocates and local officials are raising concerns over what they call a rushed and risky approval process—one that permits wetlands to be destroyed in Monroe County and relocated to a mitigation site in neighboring Wayne County.
